The VDC Training Lead is responsible for developing and delivering training programs to
enhance the skills and knowledge of the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team and other
related departments. This role ensures that all team members are proficient in using VDC tools,
processes, and technologies to optimize project outcomes. The VDC Training Lead collaborates with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess training needs and
implement effective training strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in VDC/BIM is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of [4] years of experience in VDC/BIM, with a focus on training and development. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs. Relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI), Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), or equivalent are preferred.
Technical Skills:Proficient in VDC/BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ACC, Evolve, etc.).Strong understanding of construction processes, project workflows, and industry standards.Soft Skills:Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Travel: 25-40%
Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. However, work may need to be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Program Development and Delivery:Designs and delivers comprehensive training programs that cover all VDC processes and tools, ensuring continuous professional development for all team members.Needs Assessment:Collaborates with project teams and management to assess skill levels and identify training needs and gaps.Content Creation and Documentation:Develops and maintains training materials, ensuring they are updated with the latest industry standards and software updates.Mentorship and Continuous Learning:Designs and manages structured training programs for the VDC team, ensuring alignment with department goals. Collaborates with the VDC Supervisor to provide tailored training as required by specific projects.Performance Monitoring:Tracks the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.Performs other related duties as assigned.SURGE your career forward!
