Position Overview Electrical Wiring Engineering Intern – Summer 2025 We’re International. About the Intern Program 12 week program with start dates on: May 12 or 19 or June 2 40 hours per week Must graduate between December 2025 - May 2027 What we offer Hands-on experience with advanced electrical systems and technologies Mentorship from experienced engineers and industry professionals Opportunities to contribute to real-world projects and make a tangible impact A collaborative and inclusive work environment Competitive compensation and potential for future career opportunities Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of electrical wiring systems for commercial trucks Support the creation of wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and electrical schematics Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems Participate in the testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical issues in prototype and production vehicles Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations Minimum Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status) Desired Skills Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Knowledge of electrical wiring design principles and practices Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD) and electrical design tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly Previous internship or project experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Critical thinking and problem solving Previous internships or work experience is a plus Ability to work independently Benefits and Compensation The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2025 campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour.
