Job Title: Certified Electrician
Reports to:
FLSA Status Hourly, Non-Exempt
Pay: $25.00 to $35.00. It is based on experience
Job Description:
A skilled and experienced Licensed Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, and industrial settings. The Licensed Electrician will ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards.
Job Duties:
1. Performs electrical installations of a commercial nature
1. Perform duties to including bending conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
1. Works from ladders and lifts to install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring
1. Work on 120v, 277, and 480 three phase. Support or open and close switch gears
1. Perform reactive repairs, inspect and tests electrical systems.
1. Install wall packs, exit signs, wall fixtures, breakers
1. Reads and understands labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately to perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
1. Perform other duties or be required to work on different projects as needed, including carpentry, general maintenance, and plumbing repairs
1. Utilize CMMS for work orders and progress documentation
Essential Job Functions/Qualifications:
1. 3+ years’ hands on, electrical maintenance experience preferred.
1. Use graphic instructions such as schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids.
1. Must have basic knowledge/understanding of electrical repairs and codes, regulations, and safety standards.
1. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and climbing
1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
1. Proven experience as a licensed electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems.
1. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
1. Strong communication and customer service abilities.
1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
1. Physical capability for tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
Additional Requirements:
1. Position may require the performance of other essential and marginal functions depending upon work location, assignment or shift.
1. Position may require working irregular hours, shifts, weekends, on call rotation, and holidays.
1. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Position may require driving company or client-owned automobiles and/or powered industrial trucks Classes I-V. Must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely.
Work Environment:
1. General office and shop, as well as, exterior/outside environment
Licensing:
Hold a valid Journeyman’s or Electrician’s License with authority to work as required by the state.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to the Operations Manager but will interact with peers, client stakeholders and the client on a daily basis.
