What you will need: Under the direction and supervision of the Director, Plant Operations and/or the Site Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining major electrical components, power distributions, secondary electrical systems, and ancillary components. Will be first response for Medical Center electrical problems. Complies with established policies, procedures, and regulations of the medical center and the department, and with local and state electrical codes and regulations. Assists in establishing the preventive maintenance schedule.  Inspects major electrical components, power distribution, secondary electrical systems and ancillary components regularly for compliance with established standards of functioning and service. Performs electrical service installation and modification for construction projects as needed. Coordinates electrical safety checks for non-medical equipment. Evaluates existing electrical systems, components, equipment and ensures that they are functioning safely and within operating specifications. What you will need: Must be a journeyman electrician.  Trade or vocational school graduation with courses in blueprint reading, electricity and mathematics.  Three to four (3-4) years of high and low voltage electrical maintenance experience. Must be able to operate and inspect high voltage 4160 and 12,800 systems.  Must have knowledge of national, state, and local electrical sections of public building and safety codes including NFPA, NEC, and OBBC. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.  Form perception is needed when measuring and installing parts and equipment. Motor coordination, manual dexterity, and color discrimination are required. Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy.  Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request. Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required. Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment.  Ability to comply with provisions of applicable SDS forms. Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
