Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team on the 2nd shift at a customer site in the Cromwell/Wallingford, CT area. This position requires a skilled electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working on electrical systems in a fast-paced, industrial environment and will be capable of troubleshooting, wiring, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Installations and Repairs:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, circuits, and components in commercial facilities. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and make necessary repairs.

System Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Replace faulty wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

Blueprints and Schematics:

Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams to determine system requirements. Follow plans for electrical installations, ensuring compliance with all building and safety codes.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults, and apply solutions to restore functionality. Work on high-voltage and low-voltage systems, ensuring safe and efficient repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety standards and electrical codes while performing tasks. Ensure work is done in a safe manner, taking necessary precautions to avoid hazards.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Report any findings that require additional attention or system upgrades. Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Experience with electrical systems, circuit breakers, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Licensing and Certifications:

Valid electrician's license (required). OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).

Skills:

Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and wiring methods. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
