The selected individual will troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, calibrate equipment, and interpret schematics. Other duties include rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, lighting maintenance and performing preventative maintenance. This job may also require you to perform crane electrical maintenance. Candidate should have completed basic electrical theory classes or possess a journeyman electrician’s license. Candidate should have a good driving record and be willing to become a qualified equipment operator (JLG, forklift, scissor-lift, etc.). Candidate will be expected to place high priorities on safety and quality-workmanship and be willing to obtain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Code.
Basic QualificationsCandidate must have EPA type 1 and 2 Freon handling certifications. Have four (4) years work experience in A/C and refrigeration. Individual must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs and perform manual labor in an outdoor environment. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by plant operations. This position requires the ability to understand oral and written instructions. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.
Preferred QualificationsTrade school graduate preferred, but previous on-the-job training will be considered in lieu of electrical theory courses. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Mississippi Scholars Tech Master certification preferred.
