Job Summary

An electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the electrical infrastructure for the site to include 480-, 110-, and 24-volt systems.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)1-year industrial electricity experience with 480-, 110-, and 24-volt systemsBend Conduits using hand benders, mechanical benders or hydraulic bendersKnowledge of the use of power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, knock punches and any tools associated with the electrical industryRead, write, and orally communicate in English and ability to work with no or little supervisionFlexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience as an electricianJourneyman or master electricianExperience working with general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment.Have a good working knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases of electrical work in accordance with the latest edition of the American Electricians’ Handbook, Local and National Electrical Codes.Slaughter meat industry experienceBilingual English / Spanish

Good communication skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilityTroubleshooting skills to determine electrical malfunctionsAbility to identify wires by their distinct colorsDemonstrable ability to interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to complete projectsMaintain all work sites clean and in orderComplete all required paperworkDemonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and toolsInstall new or modified electrical installations consistent with local and national codes.Plan electrical installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring

Summary

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
