Follows safe operating proceduresMaintain 7S standardsPerforms PM activities as the need arisesCommunicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concernsActively participates in continuous improvement activitiesPlans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codesMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduitPulls wiring through conduitSplices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal capsCompiles materials list for individual work orders and enters into business systemConnects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipmentInstalls control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuits-breaker panelsConnects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leadsTests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as multimeter, megohmmeter and oscilloscopeObserves functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for instruments, relocation, or replacementRepairs faulty equipment or systemsSolves problems in production machinery and building environmental equipment (HVAC, heat/lighting, etc.) using multimeters, megohmmeter, oscilloscope, and a PC for units controlled by programmable logic controllersBalances sintering furnace glo-bars to ensure uniform heating across zonesPerforms preventative maintenance tasks on production and non-production equipmentWires and installs new control panels to upgrade existing equipmentRecords maintenance actions performed in computerized maintenance systemCompletes other tasks within job classification as assigned by Team LeaderAssist other employees as advised by the Team Leader and / or Supervisor

Required Skills and Education

Education:

Associate Degree in Electrical-related field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

OR two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
