• Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems.
• Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
• Provide adequate services to ensure that all electrical systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet building codes and safety standards.
Work in a safe manner that is in compliance with safety, environmental, and Facilities department policies and procedures. Support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs Responds to Facility Work Orders from building occupants. Perform acceptance tests of new equipment. Industrial fixed, rotating, and electrical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors and fans. Inspect the installation of equipment and systems for conformance with plans and specifications. Prepare or modify existing operating and maintenance procedures. Order supplies and prepare maintenance service reports Use, maintain, and repair electrical test instruments. Perform specialized work related to electrical systems Support complex troubleshooting of facilities equipment and associated failures Partner with other Technicians and Management in identifying training requirements and safety procedures. Partner with Engineers and Technicians on various facilities projects Perform additional duties as assigned and assist other specialty areas as required. Must be on-call and work off-hours when necessary to maintain efficient operation of facilities. Consistently works on complex assignments with high degree of independence and initiative to resolve root cause. Work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings, schematics and verbal instruction. Perform maintenance duties including maintaining Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules, PM reports, troubleshooting reports and re-order, maintain and organize equipment spare parts. Update PM documents as necessary. Train personnel on equipment maintenance. Provides assistance with electrical apprentices and less experienced electricians
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent Journeyman Electrical License or apprentice Knowledge of NFPA/NEC Standards Knowledge of low voltage (less than 600 AC/DC) Knowledge of testing devices Must have experience running, bending and fabricating conduit Installation of lighting and power devices Must be able to read blue prints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders

Skills & Other Requirements
Ability to diagnose, repair, and replace or design plant control circuits and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot low and high voltage controls. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make decisions on day-to-day building operations where judgment and initiative is required. Ability to assist in determining the best procedures and methods to be used in building projects. Ability to analyze problems, make recommendations to the Facility Manager and implement agreed to solutions. Strong interpersonal/teaming skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions
Will be exposed to areas where hand tools and power tools are being operated. Will be exposed to areas where hazardous chemicals or gases are stored.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to bend, reach, twist, turn and climb normally associated with construction work. Must be able to lift 60 pounds unassisted. Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift Ability to perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawling Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirements
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.
Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.
