Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Electrician is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Responsible for preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentTroubleshoot and repair equipment in breakdown situationsConduct equipment installations and modifications as requiredConduct PLC & HMI programming changes as requiredRepair parts as requiredWork effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safetyFollow company policies and safety standardsWorks with other trades groups to complete project assignments.Take initiative and work well in team setting with other departments and independentlyOther duties as assigned by the Manager, Maintenance or Supervisor, Maintenance

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

Licenced Electrician3 years experience with process and high speed packaging equipment in a manufacturing setting preferredExperience in food industry or high speed packagingGood PLC & HMI troubleshooting, programming skills is an assetExperience in instrumentation such as flow meters, RTD and pressure/level measurement is an assetGood understanding of electronics and ability to perform simple repairs on electronic equipment Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledgeBlueprint reading plus understanding of PID drawingsExcellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.Lead hand or supervisory experience is an asset
