Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians for projects located in the Wyoming, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Repair, maintain & install electrical systems and equipment such as motors transformers wiring switches programmable controller and alarm systemsLocate and determine electrical malfunction using test instruments such as ampmeter oscilloscope and test lampRepair malfunction by such methods as replacing burnt out elements and fusesReplace defective wiring, adjust and repair switch contact points and cleaning or rewiring motors using hand toolsTest electrical equipment such as generators and heaters for safety and efficiency; uses standard test equipmentInstall fixtures motors and other electrical equipment and makes adjustments using hand toolsInspect circuits and wiring for specified shielding and grounding and repairs or rewires system according to building codes and safety regulationsReplace bearings in electric motorsRepair mechanical pneumatic hydraulic or electronic components using standard tools and gagesPlan layout and wire new installationsRepair and maintain in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturers specifications machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines starters pneumatic tools conveyor systems and production machines and equipmentObserve mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of troubleDismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective partsExamine parts to detect imperfectionsInspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirementsAdjust functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepair or replace defective partsInstall special functional and structural parts in device starts devices to test their performanceLubricate equipment and clean partsInitiate requisition for parts and machinesRepair electrical equipmentInstall machinery and equipment according to layout plane blueprints and other drawingsRead blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresDismantle machinesMove machinery and equipmentAssemble and install equipment such as shafting conveyors and tram railsConstructs foundation for machinesAssemble machines and equipment aligns bolts welds rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structuresRepair and maintain physical structures of commercial and industrial establishments such as factories and office buildingsReplace defective electrical switches and other fixtures
