Responsible for performing operation, maintenance, and repair of interior and exterior electrical systems in accordance with the performance work statement such as primary and secondary distribution systems, package substations, transformers, switchgears, expeditionary electrical equipment, electrical panels, switches, breakers, and controls. Troubleshoot malfunctioning circuits and equipment and inspect for defective equipment and faulty wiring. Work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and manufacturer’s specifications to determine the necessary and proper repairs and/or replacements. Responsibilities Major Resposibilities: Shall install, operate, repair, replace, modify, test, and troubleshoot all new and existing government owned electrical equipment that is under CE responsibility. Shall perform facility management duties for substations on AUAB under CE responsibility. Shall inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution at voltages that range from 24v -4160v. Shall mark all electrical equipment, motors, and panel boxes to meet the requirements of the National Electrical Code. Shall be able to properly use technical orders, manufacturer’s handbooks, local procedures, codes, and directives to install, repair equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions. Shall advise on, diagnose, and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical systems installation malfunctions. Shall complete and maintain records and inspection reports. Ensures all work areas are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner. Follows all OSHA and NFPA safety requirements. Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government property provided for contractor use (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment, and tools). Completes training in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA, and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements. Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet. Performs other duties as assigned. Other requirements: Work will be primarily indoors but may be outdoors to support various events. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High school diploma or equivalent Shall be qualified persons as defined by NFPA 70,70E, 110, and 111. Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport. Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment. Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission. Must have capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license. Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc. Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear. Experience: Must have a minimum of three years of electrical/power production experience and be capable of interpreting, and following blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. Shall possess the ability to work on secondary distribution lines and service entrances used to supply package substations, switchgears, distribution panels, lighting controls circuits, and other related equipment. Have experience with operating and maintaining systems ranging from 24 volts to 4160 volts. Shall possess deep understanding of the principles of electronics and electricity, including: generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, utilization, and purpose of high/medium/low/control voltage systems; operations of package substations, transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, ballasts, light fixtures, frequency converters, regulators, relays, electrical outlets, and instruments; interpreting measuring instruments and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating electrical distribution panels, and associated equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; grounding practices, environmental policies; principles of management, operation and repair of electrical medium and low voltage systems.
