Electrician

Your job is more than a job.

The Electrician performs repair and preventative maintenance of electrical systems. Participates in in-house renovation projects. Maintains and repairs various medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems. Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits and equipment used in the hospitals electrical distribution system. Maintains emergency generators, its fuel system and all electrical distribution branches. Performs tasks safely, efficiently and economically.

Your every day

Corrective and Preventative Maintenance:

Performs corrective, preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.Performs daily rounds and proactively identifies potential issues.Maintains a high craft level, demonstrates strong knowledge of the electrical trade and NEC codes.

Patient Safety/Fire Life Safety:

Adheres to electrical safety, life safety, patient safety and infection prevention measures pertaining to craft trades.Inspects the electrical distribution and essential electrical systems components including batteries, generators, ATS and fuel systems.

Troubleshoot repairs:

Demonstrates knowledge and experience reading circuit diagrams and using testing equipment to evaluate electrical equipment failures accurately.

Communication/Teamwork:

Communicates with the requester of work orders to clarify concerns and ensure satisfactory results.Communicates with supervisors, managers, other departments to coordinate repairs or inspections that will impact their utility service.Provides assistance to other tradesmen or vendors.

Time Management/Service Training:

Manages time to close work orders per department standards.Inspects, maintains and keeps assigned tools secure.

Your must haves

3 years of experience in Electrical repairs and maintenance or related area.​Class C and D Electrician from State of Louisiana or City of New Orleans One Stop Permits & Licenses ​
