Title: Electrician
Location: Independence, MO

Salary: $30.88-$35.47 per hour
Schedule: 4-10s (may vary between days, nights and weekends)

Focus: The Electrician is responsible for complex preventative and emergency electronic maintenance on automated high speed manufacturing equipment and related systems.

Electrician Essential Job Functions: Troubleshoot, analyze, and correct various operational equipment including PLC's and motor drives with the assistance of laptops, engineering and wiring diagrams. Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance repair on automated high speed ammunition manufacturing equipment. Perform preventative and emergency electrical repairs on various equipment and lighting systems. Perform repairs on electrical switchgear equipment and building power distribution systems. Runs conduit and electrical wiring to meet NEC requirements and applicable plant standards Electrician Minimum Requirements: High school Diploma or equivalent Must meet (1) one of the following requirements:  2 years recent and relevant electrician experience; OR, Electrical certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school or vocational school; OR, Relevant military maintenance education and/or experience in electronics.  Must have basic knowledge of motors (including 3 phase motors), motor controls, precision measurement and diagnostic tools.  PLC Knowledge and motor drive experience preferred. Must be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits, including low (0-600)/med (600-100,000) voltage with mandatory experience in 480. Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license. Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime.


Location-Specific Requirements: 

This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.  Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen. 

 

**Eligibility for the hiring bonus includes successful employment and probationary period of 90 days ($500) and 180 days ($500) for payout.
