Your Opportunity as an Electrician

The Electrician performs a full range of maintenance/engineering assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations.
 

Location: 2035 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60639 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant)

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm (Flexibility required.)  

Compensation Base Rate: $38.52/hr

In this Role You Will:  

Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.

Backs-up and restore PLC programs on Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLCs

Troubleshoot Ethernet communications and device IP configuration

Provide Electrical support on all bakery capital expenditure projects

Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.

Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.

Start devices to test their performance.

Perform bearing analysis and installation.

Analyze electrical circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings, and installs, repairs, calibrates, services, or replace electrical devices and systems, and power generation devices to prevent overload using an amp probe, recording meter and various hand, power, and specialty tools.

Perform preventive maintenance on uninterrupted power supply systems, generators, and air compressors to maintain system operation and reliability to ensure uninterrupted power and continuous air supply to critical facilities, equipment and systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools (e.g., hydrometer, voltmeter, amp meter, digital keypad, etc.).

Analyze electrical circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings, and installs, repairs, calibrates, services, or replace electrical devices and systems, and power generation devices to prevent overload using an amp probe, recording meter and various hand, power, and specialty tools.

What We are Looking For:  

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires high school diploma, or equivalent. 

1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

1-3 years of industrial Electrical experience

2 years of PLC experience

Ability to trouble shooting equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and product quality

Effective Oral and Written Communication

Personal Computer Skills - Literate with MS Excel, Word.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

Additional post-secondary education is preferred (i.e.: Technical of Vocational education) in areas of industrial engineering.

Ability to read electrical schematics

Prefer previous safety training

Previous work experience in industrial engineering preferred.

Training in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics

Industrial electricity courses, welding, PLC, pneumatic or other mechanic courses extremely desirable.

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders

Be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds.
