Pay: $36.86-41.65/hr depending on experience

Shift: will train on 1st and then will go to 2nd or 3rd shift; must have availability for weekends


Summary:

We are looking for an Industrial Electrician with excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. WestRock is #183 on the fortune 500 companies list. The Aston plant is a Corrugated Box plant with a Corrugator, two Rotary Die Cutters, three Flexo Folder Gluers, and various ancillary support equipment. 

 

The Job You Will Perform:

Duties include, but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting & repair, conduit & wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting & repair, drive troubleshooting & repair, Instrumentation & control valve calibration, troubleshooting & repair, and HVAC work.

Inspects, tests, repair and maintain the electrical and instrumentation systems in a safe manner with and integrated box plant. Performs assignments requiring mechanical and electrical skills. Must be familiar with hydraulics and pneumatics. Must have expert mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience and proven ability of machine repair. Knowledge of AC and DC motors installation and repair. PLC troubleshooting and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Assist mechanics on shift as necessary and various other duties assigned.

 

Education/Experience:

Prefer One (1) year vocational/technical education in an Electrical discipline.

2-5 years’ experience as an electrician in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

-Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

-Ability to read schematics, basic parameter entry for drives, and an understanding of Ladder Logic.

-Order, track, inventory and assist in scheduling of parts/components as required.

-Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various A/C and D/C drives, motors, and controls.

-Demonstrate the understanding of a Predictive Maintenance Program and how it ties into everyday inspections and job planning.

-Ability to learn various pieces of machinery and understand theory of operations as well as calibration procedures, inspections, electrical, and preventative maintenance requirements.

-Self-motivated, able to follow through to completion with assigned responsibilities.

-Required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License, scissor lift, and boom.

-Fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems. 

-Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
