Job Description
The electrical candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in various parts of different mining locations. This includes setting up electrical control systems, light fixtures, and conveyor systems. The role also involves regularly inspecting electrical systems to identify hazards and defects, performing preventative maintenance, and testing devices and machinery to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues. Strong PLC experience is required.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.Set up electrical control systems, light fixtures, and conveyor systems.Regularly inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and defects.Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.Test devices and machinery to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.Troubleshoot, maintain, and program PLCs.Work with low to medium voltage systems, including adding/grounding circuits, pulling wires, bending conduits, and handling 3 phase, 120v to 480v, PVC & underground electrical.Travel throughout the state of Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula.Be flexible to work on residential/commercial projects when not assigned to mining locations.Essential SkillsStrong PLC experience (troubleshooting, maintaining, programming).Experience with low to medium voltage systems.Willingness to travel throughout the state of Michigan.Flexibility to work on various project types.Additional Skills & QualificationsJourneyman Electrician License from the State of Michigan.Resides within a 20-30 mile radius of Lansing.Experience with conduit, conveyor systems, schematic reading, construction, pulling wire, repair, installation, blueprint reading, and bending conduit.OSHA 10 or 30 certification.Technologically proficient (working with cell phones, iPads, and construction software).Clean driving record.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Mining locations around the state of Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula, as well as residential/commercial/new construction projects. Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments. Shift: 7:30/8:00am-5:00pm, with possible change to a 4x10hr day during summer months. Overtime: 40 - 50 hours a week. PPE provided includes vest, hard hat, ear protection, glasses, and gloves. Candidates must provide their own boots (steel-toed boots not required).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00
