Electrician

Location – Erbil, Iraq – 12 weeks on/3 weeks off

Duration – 5 years + 2 – Facilities Management Operations (FMO)

Applicants must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance for this role, which requires UK Nationality and 5-10 year footprint living and working in the UK.


Please note this is not a tax-free assignment and you will be subject to UK tax for the duration of the assignment.

The Role

KBR is operating as well as maintenance services for existing infrastructure assets across MOD’s operational estates in Erbil, Iraq.

Responsibilities

Responsible for carrying out and completing planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance works

Inspection, maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical installations and Fire Alarm systems

Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act

Ensure compliance with Theatre safe systems of work

Complete PPM reports, logbooks, response maintenance reports, and all related paperwork, including risk assessments and material requests for associated tasks

What we Need

Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship within an electrical discipline

Qualified to City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing

Qualified to 18th Edition BS 7671

Experience in building systems and maintenance tasks

Familiar with LV electrical systems; 50hz and 60hz of various voltages

Desirable:

Experience as an Authorised Person in an electrical discipline

Experience and qualifications for HV systems
