What Will Be Your Environment:

The Painesville plant is one of Lubrizol’s larger facilities in the area, just outside of Cleveland, OH. 

 

What You'll Do:

As Electrician you will support the Production Department  while working on, installing and repairing motors, motor controls, transformers, generators, lighting, high voltage switchgears, and other electrical systems.

 

What We're Looking For:

Adhere to all Lubrizol procedures, including safety, JSA’s, Work Permits, and MOC’s. Complete all required paperwork and computer records promptly, including timesheets, shop papers, calibration records, drawing red-marks, ISO forms, SAP entries, and computer-based training. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on electrical devices. Calibrate, test, adjust, and document results for electrical devices. Conduct loop checks to verify component functionality and update drawings with modifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with malfunctioning electrical devices. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components in compliance with codes and regulations. Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Review plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine job requirements and repair/installation sequences. Repair and maintain high voltage systems.

 

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:                         

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school. Trade school or equivalent apprenticeship program certification. Minimum one year of electrician experience in the industrial electrical field. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Strong understanding and application of NEC. Skilled in all types of conduit layout, bending, and installation. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Knowledge of troubleshooting control circuits. Ability to work in a team-based environment. Proven ability to progress and learn in the Electrical and HVAC trade. Strong organizational skills. Solid computer skills. Good math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication). Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).

Considered a Plus:

Previous chemical plant experience or knowledge of chemical hazards. Experience in troubleshooting and repair of single and 3-phase equipment. Knowledge in hazardous location and intrinsically safe working methods. Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of VFD’s and PLC’s. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial firing equipment, UPS, and generator systems. Certification in Refrigeration & A/C troubleshooting and repair (or working towards certification within 2 years). Journeyman certification. Experience with Microsoft Office suite Experience in SAP (S/4 HANA).

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in inclement weather and plant environment as needed. Willing to work overtime including weekends, holidays and call-ins as needed. Rotational Call-In schedule required. Will be subject to extended periods of climbing ladders and stairways, sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, moving, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Presence of nuisance odors from chemical processes, testing facilities, or laboratories. Many areas may be noisy requiring ear protection to be worn.
