**Job Title: Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are looking for an experienced electrician to join our team in the Buffalo, NY region. Candidates will be working in safe, monitored areas away from electrical components. They will be installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. The role primarily involves project work for large plants. Flexibility with work sites and reliable transportation are essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
+ Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
+ Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
+ Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
+ Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
+ May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will work in industrial facilities, repairing lighting systems and supporting cell phone tower installation projects in the WNY area. The work environment can include odors and hazardous materials at times, with safety being a priority. Candidates may work on ladders, lifts, and high voltage areas. The company’s shop is located in Niagara Falls / Sanborn, but candidates will report to job sites and can wear jeans and comfortable work clothing. PPE will be reimbursed except for steel toe boots and eye protection.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niagara Falls, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
