What this job involves -

This position involves providing electrical maintenance and repair services specifically for data center environments within a Commercial Real Estate portfolio. The role requires expertise in maintaining and repairing mission-critical electrical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure 100% uptime, as well as participating in preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Maintaining and repairing main electrical services, UPS systems, distribution services, panels, and powerline conditionersInspecting and maintaining data center substations, transformers, and HV switchesInstalling and troubleshooting electrical utilities for critical server equipment and support infrastructureRepairing, replacing, and maintaining facility lighting systemsPerforming preventative maintenance on emergency electrical power systems, generators, and switchgearAssisting with electrical needs in server room areasCompleting assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks via CMMSProviding backup for diesel fuel delivery for emergency generatorsEnsuring electrical installations comply with NEC and IEEE standards for data center environments

Desired experience and technical skills –

Required:

Journeyman Electrician's LicenseMinimum 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in data center/critical facilitiesExperience with UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgearsAbility to interpret drawings and specificationsEffective written and oral communication skills in EnglishStrong math skills and interpersonal abilitiesBasic computer skills including MS Office and CMMS softwareExperience with electrician's hand tools, power tools, drill motors, saws, and roto hammersPhysical ability to stand, kneel, crawl, bend, and use hands, fingers, and arms for installation and maintenance tasksAbility to respond to site emergencies

Preferred:

Experience in a data center/critical facility environmentExperience with high voltage substations and equipmentTraining in NFPA70E safe electrical work practices and high voltage operationsUniversal EPA 608 certification

On-site –Duluth, GA, Suwanee, GA
