Maintenance Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

Core Responsibilities: Oversees execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.Defines maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consults on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities, in collaboration with the Engineering team.Manages and updates technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.Solves major technical, equipment, or facilities problems in order to achieve higher performance of the production lines.Maintains tools and repairs equipment in good working condition.Proposes improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.Responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.License To Operate / Core Values: Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.Collaboration / Leadership: Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB.Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

Qualifications for the role

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years working in building maintenance, the electrical field, and or facilities.Planned Maintenance & BacklogKnowledge and use of tools – tape measure, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as neededAbility to lift, push and pull up to 40lbsAbility to Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment Inspect and maintain electrical components like circuit breakers and transformersRepair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures Ability to troubleshoot by identifying electrical problems with applicable electrical testing devisesAbility to understand blueprints and wiring diagrams Follow state and local building regulationsKnowledge of North Carolina state electrical codesCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
