About the Role
We are currently recruiting for the role of Technician Electrical within the Jimblebar Fixed Plant Maintenance Execution team. This is a permanent full-time role FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 off, 7 nights on / 7 off roster.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development. Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment. Ensuring high quality risk assessments and utilising SAP, updating work order history and handovers Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, attending breakdowns and running complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of all fixed plant and infrastructure equipment Working from schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals, and recording any modifications Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way. Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability Preserve a high-level working knowledge of BHP safety processes and procedures
About You
Electrical WA ‘A’ grade license. Post trade maintenance experience with an automated plant control system. Excellent electrical knowledge & AS3000 Standards. Experience with a HV Operator competency/appointment. (Highly regarded) Technical knowledge of PLCs (AB), VVVFs (Siemens), networks, instrumentation, HV/LV motors and Citect systems (Highly regarded) Experience troubleshooting electrical, control and hydraulic systems. Valid Australian C class driver’s license Basic Computer Literacy with 1SAP experience advantageous. The ability to work methodically and remain calm and focused in a busy and dynamic work environment. HIAB, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Confined Space, Working at Heights Certificates (Desirable) Demonstrate Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
