Electrician - Maintenance - IAPI

This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the bulk of the electrical equipment used in the process area and labs and supporting utilities in IAPI. They need to have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. They also need a mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of complex electromechanical devices. Be able to troubleshoot systems by understanding the electrical equipment and systems. Such as: single and three phase circuits and their controls, breakers, motor contacts, power and control relays, DC and AC motors and their controls, transformer operations, lighting circuits, heat tracing, fuse changes, breaker resets, Motor control centers, Main switch gear, UPS systems, programmable logic controllers, lamp replacements, grounding checks. Also have the knowledge to install / maintain switches, fuses, cables, breakers, light fixtures, raceways, conduit, disconnects. Also have skills in using test equipment (Calibration Standards, Flukes, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Amp probes, Megger, and DVM Etc.) 

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Demonstrate a good process aptitude and application of skills in a variety of real-world manufacturing process experiences.Install/set-up/replace Instrument/electrical equipment (e.g., switches, transmitters, controllers, VFDs, various types of process instrumentation).Diagnose basic electrical problems, to effect repairs and restore equipment/systems to operating condition (e.g., 3-wire motor control, 12/24V control circuits, 120V circuitry, etc).Effectively troubleshoot electrical equipment from 24 VDC to 480 VAC to restore equipment/systems to operating condition.Operate basic electrical/pneumatic test equipment and meters.Provide electrical and instrumentation support for equipment qualification.Provide accurate, complete, and legible Work Order documentation on both paper copy (when required) and in CMMS work order system (Maximo, SAP, etc).

Basic Qualification:

High school diploma/GEDMinimum 3 Years of journeyman level electrical experienceCompletion of Post Offer Exam or Work Simulation, as applicableQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Skills Preferences:

Associate degree or Technical Trade Certificate in Electrical/Automation/Instrumentation, or equivalent experienceExperience within a regulated industry; FDA regulated industries preferredAbility to perform quality work without close supervisionProficiency in CMMS (e.g., Maximo), Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.Experience in providing a high-level of customer serviceAbility to follow written procedures while performing maintenance activitiesAbility to work in team environment.Track record of maintaining a neat and orderly work area (good housekeeping)Experience performing maintenance in a Manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting process related equipment failuresGood documentation practices and communication skills (both written and verbal)Demonstrated record of maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.

Additional Information:

Requires shift availability (Dayshift 12 hr., 3 on/3 off) to meet business need.Must be willing to work overtime during peak periods (e.g. monthly shutdowns, etc.).  Schedule could change due to business needs for additional coverage during Shutdowns, training and peak vacation times.Individual must be able to comply with all building gowning and SOP requirements and be expected to perform in various areas within manufacturing
