Job Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS

Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certificationMinimum 5 years hands on experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentPLC and programming experienceAbility to Create, manipulate and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic for repair and modification purposesMig, Stick and Tig weldingPhysically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

(Optional) – Preferred but not required

Knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principalsCertification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)Experience with Labview is an assetExperience with troubleshooting robotsOverhead crane licenseForklift licenseTier 1 automotive manufacturing experience

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors programmable controllers, relay logic, etc.Connects power supply to machinery and equipment and connects interface wiring between machinery and equipmentDiagnoses apparatus such as transformers, motors and light fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wiring and fixtureTest malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with management options available to correct problemReplaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devicesDiagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boardsPlans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildingsDiagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipmentMaintenance and troubleshooting experience with pressesWorks in a safe manner and is familiar with Mytox’s policies and proceduresMust be able to work overtime when required and willing to help out when necessary as per customer demandsMust be organized and clean up the area and equipment at the end of the shiftMust be able to communicate issues/problems to supervisor or managerWilling to modify work hours and shifts on short notice as requiredAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
