The Electrician Power Systems is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the RCES Utility Plants’ electrical systems. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $39.43 per hour.

To learn more about our benefits visit: https://jobs.disneycareers.com/benefits. Responsibilities: Safely operate electric utility power distribution protection and industrial electrical systems. Provide emergency response and service restoration in industrial electrical system outage conditions. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electric utility transmission and distribution control, metering, and industrial electrical systems. Basic Qualifications: Valid Florida driver’s licenseMust be a qualified Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial and/or utility environment.Experience in power distribution, generation systems and associated controlsUnderstanding of OSHA and industry standard lock-out tag-out safety proceduresAbility to pass a role-specific, technical knowledge-based written assessment and interviewAbility to read electrical schematicsPossess the ability to interpret blueprintsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Preferred Qualifications: Experience in industry standard utility system and industrial application protective relaying systems and principlesExperience in industrial motor control including variable frequency drivesExperience troubleshooting and calibrating power distribution systems, and protection systems and devices Preferred Education An Associates degree in an engineering related field is desired.
