The role you’ll contribute:

Performs Journeyman level work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, appliances, and devices in compliance with all regulatory agencies. Assures reliability and safety of electrical systems. Other responsibilities include those of general maintenance (i.e., drywall patching, minor plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing). Mentors and coaches apprentice electricians and other facilities staff.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Performs or directs all electric circuiting work in the hospital including installation of new branch, lighting, life safety and other circuits as needed.

Installs, repairs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.

Ensures that all ground fault circuits are working properly and that circuit breakers are properly marked as to the circuits and equipment they control.

Maintains fire alarm systems (i.e., fire detection system and sprinkler system).

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High School Diploma or GED

Seven years of experience in general electrical maintenance Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience, preferred Previous leadership experience preferred Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English.

Basic computer skills

Valid state Driver’s License
