The Electro–Mechanical Technician (Automation Engineer Senior Analyst) is a Tier 1 responder who is primarily responsible for conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, both Electrical and Mechanical systems on highly automated equipment. In addition, Electro-Mechanical Technician conducts troubleshooting and advanced repair and maintenance of automated equipment including, Electrical Controls, Robots, and PLCs, in a high volume Pharmaceutical production environment. In addition, the Sr. Pharmacy Automation Services Specialist will perform problem-solving and implement solutions to improve variances between the machine operation and the defined equipment specifications.
Responsibilities
\tShift schedule: Tuesday – Friday (10a-6:30p) ; Saturday (5a -1p)
\t\t\tPerforms advanced level maintenance and service on automated equipment by using and understanding electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics, and using special test equipment and tools.
\t\t\tMaintains reliability of the pharmacy automation equipment by executing preventive, corrective, and emergency work orders.
\t\t\tTroubleshoot, service, install and repair automated production equipment, Including equipment modifications, upgrades, and spare parts inventory
\t\t\tUtilizes knowledge and skill to monitor and improve the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of the electro-mechanical equipment, and supporting application software systems.
\t\t\tObserve system for degraded performance using routine inspections, maintenance rounds, and diagnostic equipment.
\t\t\tUse a computerized maintenance management system to record labor hours, repair parts, and monitor pharmacy equipment performance.
\t\t\tRecommend alterations to developers and designers to improve the quality or performance of processes and/or machines.
\t\t\tInterpret the output of the reporting systems and take appropriate action that will result in the removal of the root cause problem from the system on a permanent basis.
\t\t\tDocument all emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance work via work orders associated with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - MAXIMO).
\t\t\tOperates on-site in an on-call capacity.
\tQualifications
\tHigh School diploma; Associate’s degree preferred.
\t\t\t0-2 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree and mechanical – electrical experience related to automated, industrial equipment.
\t\t\tMust have experience working in a high-volume production or pharmaceutical environment.
\t\t\tAbility to troubleshoot complex PLC/computer-operated electro-mechanical equipment; PLC’s, I/O, and field devices; repairing, setting up, adjusting, and tuning mechanical systems and pneumatic systems.
\t\t\tCompetent use of all tools and procedures needed to repair precision electro-mechanical machinery successfully the first time.
\t\t\tPractical knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems, Computerized
\t\t\tMaintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to report and follow up on maintenance procedures and work orders.
\t\t\tRoot Cause Analysis training in OSHA safety guidelines 1910 training a plus.
