Job Title: Electro Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
The Electro Mechanical Engineer will perform a variety of multi-trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Duties include troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of components, basic design, simple fabrication, adjustment, and welding.
Responsibilities
+ Install, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and install components.
+ Perform basic design, fabrication, adjustment, and welding tasks.
+ Possess knowledge of electrical power, hydraulic power, air power, PLC, light curtains, and safety devices.
+ Repair and replace test cables.
+ Read blueprints and engineering sketches, recognizing and interpreting details and variations.
+ Keep accurate records for replacement part ordering and regular equipment inspection.
+ Work with rigging and scaffolding using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks, and lift trucks to move heavy equipment.
+ Operate powered hand tools and stationary machine tools.
+ Use precision measuring instruments.
+ Effectively communicate about completion schedules, materials, or parts required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Basic knowledge of electrical power (proper wire size for current, amps, volts, AC, DC).
+ Basic knowledge of hydraulic power (cylinders, valves, proper oil understanding force as applied).
+ Basic knowledge of air power (cylinders, valves, mufflers, and other air components).
+ Understanding of PLC (ladder logic control and functions as pertains to machine operation).
+ Knowledge of light curtains and other safety devices.
+ Ability to repair and replace test cables.
+ Capability to make recommendations for suitable substitutes on operational components.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering sketches or designs.
+ Ability to keep accurate written records for ordering replacement parts.
+ Experience in working with rigging and scaffolding.
+ Skill in operating powered hand tools.
+ Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Bachelors in Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering.
+ 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military maintenance environment.
+ Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
+ Experience with PLC programming (nice to have).
+ Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, ladder logic, and industrial controls (nice to have).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
