Electro-Mechanical Technican (Afternoon Shift - MTSB)

Primary Responsibilities 

Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics, ensuring precise execution of assembly, and testing proceduresExecute the assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies using precise attention to detail, and strict adherence to process.  Handle and apply chemicals, primers and sealants as part of the assembly process, with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocolsDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including but not limited to motors, sensors and wire harness assemblies, to ensure optimal system performance and reliability Investigate and resolve assembly level defects by collaborating with senior technicians and engineers, contributing to continuous product development and process improvementExecute environmental screening, operating thermal chambers and vibration tables, running tests scripts, and analyzing performance data to validate system integrityEffectively manage multiple priorities, balancing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting tasks to meet critical project timelines and production goalsEngage in cross-functional collaboration, work closely with Operation Engineers, production teams, and management to tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutionsEnsuring meticulous documentation, maintaining detailed records of assembly, maintenance, test results, troubleshooting efforts and implemented solutionsHandle customer-owned equipment (as required), with precision and care, performing diagnostic testing, electro-mechanical repairs, and upgrades while ensuring compliance with all quality standards Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in assembly processes, recommending enhancements, and implementing best practices to optimize system quality and workflow efficiency.

Desired Education and Experiences 

3 - 5 years’ experience in the Mechanical and/or Electro-mechanical field desiredCommunity College diploma in a Mechanical Technician/Technology or equivalentExperience with Lean Manufacturing an assetPrevious experience working in ISO9000, AS9100 environmentCollege diploma in Electronics combined with demonstrated mechanical aptitude may be considered
