Responsibilities Responsible for utilizing and electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain Apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patient’s scalp Take and verify recordings Operate, maintain, calibrate and adjust specialized equipment Monitor, transcribe physician order and perform other support duties to include but not limited to paging physicians Obtain insurance pre-certification Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent One to three (1-3) year of previous EEG experience Preferred Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college level course work Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET Registered EEG Tech One (1) year experience in specialty
