Electromagnetic Warfare Capability Gap Analyst
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electronic Warfare EW Capability Gap Analyst to support the Department of Defense DOD efforts in analyzing and assessing current and potential adversary capabilities in the realm of electronic warfare. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and addressing EW capability gaps, while making critical recommendations that inform strategic planning and decision-making processes. Travel is required. Key Responsibilities: + Analysis and Assessment: Conduct in-depth analysis of DOD EW capabilities, evaluating the effectiveness and readiness of current systems in the context of evolving threats from potential adversaries. + Gap Identification: Identify and document EW capability gaps, ensuring they are accurately understood and represented in reports and briefings to senior leadership. + Independent Research: Perform independent research on emerging EW technologies, adversary tactics, and global trends to ensure comprehensive gap identification. + Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in various studies, working groups, and portfolio management forums within the Department of Defense, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and priorities. + Solution Development: Develop actionable recommendations for closing EW capability gaps. Present solutions for consideration in key processes, including Planning, Programming, and Budgeting PPB, portfolio management, integrated priorities, and Joint Capability Integration and Development System JCIDS. + Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing analysis, findings, and recommendations for senior decision-makers. Requirements Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance. Experience: + Extensive experience in Electronic Warfare and DOD systems, with a focus on capability analysis and gap identification. + Strong understanding of DOD processes including JCIDS, PPB, and portfolio management. + Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Skills: + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex information to senior leadership. + Proficient in conducting research and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations. + Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field e.g., Engineering, Electronics, National Security, or related technical discipline. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with EW systems and technologies used by both DOD and adversary forces. + Knowledge of emerging threats and evolving tactics within the electronic warfare domain. + Familiarity with relevant software tools used in data analysis and modeling.
