Electromagnetics R&D Manager

Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Research & Development Manager for our Broomfield, CO location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our electromagnetics research efforts. We are looking for a highly qualified Research & Development Manager to join our Environment & Infrastructure Team with a strong background in analysis, design, and measurement of electromagnetic systems. You will work with scientists, engineers and a larger research team to architect, design, build, and test custom subsystems for use in research and commercial environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n\nManages a high performing team of Scientists and Engineers\nOversees technical work, ensures team execution of milestones and deliverables\nChampions research projects\nSets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments\nProvides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies\nManages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment\nEnsures short- and long-term resource availability\nDevelops team strategy and technology roadmap\n

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

\n

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.

\n

YOU MUST HAVE:

\n\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).\n10+ years of experience in Engineering or Research & Development\n5+ years of experience in technical management, leading and mentoring other scientists and engineers\nStrong knowledge in research methodologies, tools, and laboratory operations\nU.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance\n\n

\n\nAdvanced Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering\nExperience in condensed matter physics, superconducting physics, magnetic materials, electromagnetic shielding, and related fields\nStrong leadership and team management skills\nExperience scaling a product or process from R&D through manufacturing\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nInnovative mindset and a passion for technology\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\n\n

The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position is incentive plan eligible.
