Electromagnetics R&D Manager
Electromagnetics R&D Manager Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Research & Development Manager for our Broomfield, CO location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our electromagnetics research efforts. We are looking for a highly qualified Research & Development Manager to join our Environment & Infrastructure Team with a strong background in analysis, design, and measurement of electromagnetic systems. You will work with scientists, engineers and a larger research team to architect, design, build, and test custom subsystems for use in research and commercial environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Manages a high performing team of Scientists and Engineers + Oversees technical work, ensures team execution of milestones and deliverables + Champions research projects + Sets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments + Provides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies + Manages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment + Ensures short- and long-term resource availability + Develops team strategy and technology roadmap US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing. YOU MUST HAVE: + Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics). + 10+ years of experience in Engineering or Research & Development + 5+ years of experience in technical management, leading and mentoring other scientists and engineers + Strong knowledge in research methodologies, tools, and laboratory operations + U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance WE VALUE: + Advanced Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering + Experience in condensed matter physics, superconducting physics, magnetic materials, electromagnetic shielding, and related fields + Strong leadership and team management skills + Experience scaling a product or process from R&D through manufacturing + Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities + Innovative mindset and a passion for technology + Strong interpersonal and communication skills COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is <$157K- $196K>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position is incentive plan eligible.
