Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies in accordance with drawings, written, or verbal instructions. The role includes inspecting and testing subassemblies, packaging finished goods, material handling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
ResponsibilitiesRead and understand bill of material structure; escalate errors or discrepancies to appropriate personnelVisually inspect components for flaws/damage and escalate issues to appropriate personnelAssist with miscellaneous tasks as assigned, including packaging finished goods, material handling (kitting), and warehouse cleanup and organizationMaintain commitment to quality and safetyParticipate in the 5S program to maintain a clean and safe work environmentLift and carry up to 50 poundsCommunicate ideas and facts in a professional manner to all stakeholdersRegularly perform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periods of timePossess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelyUpload component firmware according to written instructionsAdhere to the company’s redline process to document any as-built changesMaintain accurate accounting of project materials and report any discrepanciesRework and/or repair equipment and products as instructedParticipate in the development of work instructions, including writing simple work instructions, cutsheets, or assembly notesSafely use advanced tooling (power tools, CableEye, etc.)Identify the need for, and assist in, the development of tools/jigs to facilitate assembly processesOperate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cablesPerform field service as neededNavigate 3D CAD/e-drawings as an aid to assemblyPerform full system cold checks using a schematic ('continuity checks')Obtain company-sponsored high-voltage electrical safety training to act as a 'qualified' worker to safely perform hot checks for new systemsPossess advanced or expert level proficiency in the layout, routing, and termination of wires for UL 508A electrical panelsPossess advanced or expert level proficiency in building cables/wire harnesses that conform to IPC 620 standardsAssemble 24V safety circuits (e-stops, light curtains, status lights, sensors)Identify continuous improvement opportunities for the production team and take a leadership role in continuous improvement activitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies (motors, cables, electrical panels, mechanical assemblies)Assume a leadership role on first article projects as assignedAct as a leader for the entire production team, upholding values, ethics, and commitments to quality and safetyOccasionally work with the engineering department on proof of conceptsEssential SkillsMechanical assemblyCable harness assemblyIPC 620 certificationWire harness assemblyTroubleshooting electromechanical assembliesElectrical schematics/blueprints readingSolderingProficiency in using hand and power toolsTesting circuits2+ years of assembly or building experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to use hand and power toolsAbility to read blueprints/schematicsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds regularlyAbility to strip, crimp, and splice electrical wiresAbility to build mechanical subassemblies using various fastening methodsAbility to torque fasteners to proper specifications and sequenceAbility to route cables and secure wiring throughout systemsAbility to attach labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cablesAbility to measure dimensions to verify proper clearance of partsAbility to use appropriate tooling/fixtures for proper assemblyAbility to verify mechanical functionalityAbility to test for electrical continuity using a voltmeterWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. Individual work stations are currently under construction, but will include hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and regular performance of repetitive tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
