Electromechanical Technician
**Job Title: Electromechanical Technician** **Job Description** As an Electromechanical Technician, you will accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies following drawings, written, or verbal instructions. Your role will involve inspecting and testing subassemblies, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. **Responsibilities** + Read and understand bill of material structure, escalating errors or discrepancies to appropriate personnel. + Visually inspect components for flaws or damage, and escalate issues to appropriate personnel. + Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as packaging finished goods, material handling (kitting), and warehouse cleanup. + Maintain company values and commitment to quality and safety. + Participate in the 5S program to maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Communicate ideas and facts in a professional manner to all stakeholders. + Perform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periods. + Possess manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately. + Upload component firmware according to written instructions. + Adhere to the redline process to document any as-built changes. + Maintain accurate accounting of project materials and report discrepancies. + Rework and repair equipment and products as instructed. + Develop work instructions, including writing simple instructions, cutsheets, or assembly notes. + Safely use advanced tooling such as power tools and CableEye. + Assist in the development of tools or jigs to facilitate assembly processes. + Operate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cables. + Perform field service as needed. + Navigate 3D CAD/e-drawings as an aid to assembly. + Perform full system cold checks using a schematic. + Obtain company-sponsored high-voltage electrical safety training. + Achieve proficiency in the layout, routing, and termination of wires for UL 508A electrical panels. + Build cables and wire harnesses conforming to IPC 620 standards. + Assemble 24V safety circuits, including e-stops, light curtains, status lights, and sensors. + Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities for the production team. + Perform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies. + Assume a leadership role on first article projects as assigned. + Act as a leader for the production team, upholding company values, ethics, and commitments to quality and safety. + Occasionally work with the engineering department on proof of concept. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical assembly + Cable harness assembly + IPC 620 standards + Troubleshooting + Electrical wiring + Reading and understanding schematics/blueprints + Soldering + Hand and power tools usage + Testing circuits **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of assembly or building experience. + Ability to use hand and power tools. + Experience in reading blueprints/schematics. + Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly. + Experience in verifying mechanical functionality and testing electrical continuity using a voltmeter. **Why Work Here?** Great company with a lot of cool amenities. **Work Environment** Large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. Workstations are under construction, but individual workstations involve using hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
