Job Title : RMS / Electron Microscope Field Service Engineer

Overview

ZEISS Korea is looking for a highly technical, independent, and self-motivated individual to join the RMS Service team to support our rapid growth in the microscope business. The successful candidate should have an interest, knowledge, and background in application role of microscope industry instrumentation. He/She should possess an excellent theoretical understanding of fundamentals and the ability to explain the working principles of these instruments clearly and concisely to non-experts in the field.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Installation and Commissioning: Perform installation and commissioning of Electron Microscope. Ensure systems are operational to meet customer specifications.

2. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic failures to the component level.

3. Customer Training and Support: Provide comprehensive operational and maintenance training to customers. Offer ongoing support and expert advice to ensure customer satisfaction.

4. On-site work: Move to the location where the microscope is installed and perform on-site work.

5. Documentation: Keep accurate records of all service activities, including detailed service reports and parts inventory management.

6. Collaboration with headquarters: Work closely with Tech Support Group teams to suggest improvements for service enhancements and troubleshoot current systems.

7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site and in the field.

The essential requirements of the job include:

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electricity, Semiconductor engineering or related field) or equivalent practical experience.

2. Professional Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in field service engineering, including fresh graduates with a strong academic background and internships relevant to electron microscope.

3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic software and tools and understanding of technical schematics.

4. Language skills : Proficiency in both spoken & and written English language is required.

5. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time and availability for on-call emergency response.
