JOB SUMMARY
The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist I performs electroneurodiagnostic tests independently when ordered by a physician. The individual will perform patient care activities, gather the patient’s medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare the patient for the procedures. The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist I will monitor the patient during the diagnostic testing and report findings to the physician for further analysis.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Experience with patient care in neurodiagnostics in addition to one of the following:
Successful completion of the web-based Neurodiagnostic Technology program through the Institute of Health Sciences (IOHS) or
Graduate of an accredited electroneurodiagnostic program or REEGT registry eligible thru ABRET and three years of experience as an EEG Tech.
Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in neurodiagnostics.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association within three months of hire. Obtain Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) Certification awarded by the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation within three years of hire if applicable.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
