Kadiak LLC, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is seeking an experienced Electronic Document Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the efficient management and processing of electronic and paper-based files, ensuring proper organization, indexing, and retrieval of critical information. The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background, preferably in Health Science or Information Science, along with relevant experience in document management and processing. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:** **The Electronic Document Technician will be responsible for:** + Manage and process both electronic and paper-based files, ensuring accurate indexing, organization, and retrieval of information. + Utilize document management systems and software to capture, store, and manage electronic documents and records. + Perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of scanned documents and their associated metadata. + Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their document management needs and implement appropriate processes and procedures. + Maintain strict adherence to established protocols for document security, confidentiality, and retention policies. + Provide training and guidance to other staff members on proper document handling, indexing, and retrieval techniques. + Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for document management processes and procedures. + Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in electronic document management and processing. + Coordinate with IT teams to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of document management systems and related infrastructure. + Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for long-term document preservation and archiving. **Requirements:** **Education:** + High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree with coursework in Health Science or Information Science is preferred. + Ability to obtain a Public Trust **Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Minimum of 5 years of related experience in document management and processing. + At least 2 years of direct experience with the management and processing of both electronic and paper files. + Familiarity with FDA terminology and regulations related to document management in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries. + Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. + Strong computer skills and proficiency with document management software, databases, and related applications. + Attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in document indexing, organization, and retrieval. + Knowledge of document management best practices, including file naming conventions, indexing methods, and retention policies. + Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under tight deadlines. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve document management issues. + Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, particularly in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries. **Desired Skills and Competencies:** + Experience in a government or regulated environment, with knowledge of relevant document management regulations and compliance requirements. + Proficiency in optical character recognition (OCR) and automated document processing techniques. + Knowledge of project management methodologies and the ability to lead document management initiatives. + Understanding of records management principles and long-term archiving strategies. + Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to document management processes and procedures. + Familiarity with workflow automation tools and process optimization techniques.
