Job Title: Electronic Engineering Technician
Job Description

Works within the Electrical Engineering Department. Performs a variety of Electrical Engineering Technician work in machine wiring and control panel building. Works closely with the engineering team to build, wire, and troubleshoot new and used equipment, making PLC, HMI, and electrical drawing edits. Occasionally travels to plants to support installations and provide guidance to maintenance technicians.

ResponsibilitiesReview and understand electrical drawings for machine control panels including enclosure, subpanel, schematics, and BOM.Layout, assemble, and wire electrical panels to UL508A specifications.Assemble panels and wire machinery to NFPA 79A specifications.Make electrical drawing edits in AutoCAD.Perform runoff of control panels and equipment.Load/Edit PLC programs.Load/Edit HMI programs.Load/Edit VFD programs.Provide plant support (troubleshooting machines) by phone and onsite when needed.Ability to remotely connect to machines for troubleshooting.Essential Skills2+ years of experience working within a custom panel shop.Ability to troubleshoot PLC and edit/write code in Studio 5000.Associates Degree.Ability to read electrical schematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Siemens and Yaskawa.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Work Environment

This position will be working at the New Miami facility near Hamilton, OH. The team consists of 5 other people, and this position is a new addition. The role requires being in the office 5 days a week with very rare weekend work. Expect to work 5-10 hours of overtime each week, paid at 1.5x OT rate. After the first 4 months, expect to travel up to 20% of the time, typically 1 week every 2 months. Travel involves shorter trips, usually Monday through Friday. An ADS travel card will be provided for travel expenses. Initially, there will be limited travel as the candidate gets familiar with ADS standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
