This position ensures the tracking of physical keys and electronic access control to facilities. It maintains the database of key custodians, assigned keys, logs all key related documents in accordance with the Army physical security of locks control program. Primary responsibilities include: Employees of this class are expected to carry out assignments with minimal supervisory assistance: + Complies with the requirements of State policies, including those concerning human resource components of security protocols of agency information security and confidentiality policies for state business purposes + Installs locks and related hardware to provide security and limit access + Pins cores, cuts keys, repair lock sets, change vault combinations + Maintains the key, core and assigned key custodians database to ensure regulation compliance + Inventories keys, cores, and locks to control access to specified areas + Cuts, drills, trims, fits doors, doorways, molding, drawers, hinges to install locks, latches, plates, hasps, or other hardware. Skills or knowledge required: + Required to pass federal background check to access NIPR program as a condition of employment. + Knowledge of locks, keyways, and combinations + Must be proficient in keeping accurate records, logs, inventories. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and the use of Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc. + Ability to read and interpret technical specification sheets and diagrams Minimum qualifications: Two (2) years of experience, training, and /or education in operating an automated building control/security system with one (1) year of experience in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of Electronic Security Systems or prior military experience demonstrating familiarity with the Army Physical Security Program.
