\nEssential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Perform all needed Electrical and controls repairs on 24VDC, 110VAC 220VAC controls systems and 220VAC/480VAC 3P power systems Perform Advanced Electromechanical troubleshooting on machinery Setup and Calibrate Sensors Identify, troubleshoot and repair PLCs and HMIs Troubleshoot and adjust 0-10V and 4-20 mA signals Understand internal parameters of a drive, communication with PLC’s and other drives and cross-reference to a new drive Help train other technicians. This includes writing set up documentation for new technology Participate in, develop, or lead capital projects related to automation Adhere to Company rules and guidelines, follow all safety rules Always follow lock out/tag out procedures Always perform quality work \nCandidate Requirements:
2-year Mechatronics, Engineering Technology or related degreeOr 2 years’ work experience in PLC, Automation, CNC, Controls
Team player excited to support the maintenance team Capable of working in a hot production environment Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting skills Strong computer and math skills. Able to generate documentation for other technicians to follow Some programming experience (Ladder logic preferred) Ability to understand Electrical drawings, sometimes in another language Ability and interest to learn new software and technologies Interest and openness in testing new automation technologies Candidate should possess some of the preferred requirements listed belowPreferred Requirements:
Able to make minor changes to PLC ladder logic code Ability to Write entirely new PLC programs using RSlogix 500, Connected Components Work Workbench, RSlogix 5000 for Micro1400, Micro800, CompactLogix PLCs Ability to create electrical drawings, Experience using CAD software Industrial communication protocols such as Modbus over RS485, Ethernet/IP and others HMI Programming. Crimson 3.1 for RedLion HMIs. Basic Computer network understanding. IP addresses, Etc.
