Electronic Systems Product Specialist

**DESCRIPTION**
Key Responsibilities:
+ Investigate and resolve electronic application and system issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions with guidance from senior team members.
+ Apply and refine electronic application and system development processes, including system specification, modeling, simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate customer feedback, product teams, and suppliers into product development decisions.
+ Lead the design and optimization of electronic systems, ensuring they meet product quality and performance standards.
+ Review and guide less-experienced engineers/testers to ensure the design is efficient, robust, and reusable.
+ Lead smaller projects or components with increased levels of ambiguity, managing all technical aspects to ensure successful project outcomes.
+ Support the development of new product systems, including base engine and sensor selection, controller selection, and communication protocols.
+ Perform software and calibration bench testing, including supporting failure analysis, iDFMEA, Cyber Security (ISO21434) assessments, and Functional Safety (ISO26262) evaluations.
+ Tune and integrate engine calibration, working cross-functionally to implement open and closed loop control tuning for engine performance features.
+ Provide guidance to design teams on wiring harness development as per engine architecture and ECM IO matrix.
+ Offer test cell and occasional field support for engine development, calibration, and diagnosis.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
+ Master's degree may be required for select roles.
+ Relevant work experience in embedded systems, electronics, and emissionized engines is essential.
+ Licensing may be required to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Skills:**
+ Experience with system verification and validation tools such as HIL/SIL.
+ Strong user-level proficiency with embedded software and tools, including Calterm, Matlab/Simulink, PCAN Explorer, Insite, Power Match, RDE, CDM/CDAT, Integrity, and C2ST.
+ Previous cross-functional experience working with teams across geographies is preferred.
+ Strong team player with excellent communication skills (both upwards and downwards).
+ Prior experience in software and calibration bench testing is a plus.
+ Familiarity with industry standards like ISO21434 (Cybersecurity) and ISO26262 (Functional Safety).
+ Experience in tuning and integrating engine calibration, including features such as speed governors, torque control, sensor diagnostics, and datalinks.
**Experience:**
+ Prior Senior or Lead Engineer experience in a relevant discipline is essential.
+ Demonstrated ability in technical problem-solving, decision-making, and delivering results.
+ Familiarity with MS Office tools is preferred.
