The Electronic Technician is more than just a modern-day technician; we provide hardware support to multiple lines of businesses! In this role, we may respond to an issue with Avaya or Cisco phone systems, tackle Wi-Fi and TIMELOX equipment issues and even work on Resort in-room technology devices. Additionally, we focus on the installation and full sustainment of the network and data devices including the layer 1 infrastructure supporting our devices. To learn more about our benefits visit: https://jobs.disneycareers.com/benefits.** **Responsibilities :** + Perform maintenance, tackling, and configuring of phones and associated peripherals on Avaya and Cisco Systems + Perform sustainment of in-room technology including WIFI, TIMELOX, and GPON equipment + Required to install and maintain all layer 1 infrastructure + Proficiency with layer 1 fiber and copper test equipment + Perform other tasks as assigned by management or lead technician + Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required **Basic Qualifications :** + Telephony experience + Layer 1 experience + Knowledge of Cisco/Avaya voice systems and T1/Data circuits + Ability to terminate and solve CAT6a cabling + Knowledge of passive optical network (PON) and data network technologies + Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Avaya environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience + Valid Florida state driver's license + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds + Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills + Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices **Preferred Qualifications:** + Associate degree or equivalent is preferred. + Certification on Avaya or Cisco is preferred **Additional Information :** **Schedule Availability:** Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
