Actalent Services is looking for a Electronic Technician 2 performs routine technical functions to support development engineering activities. These include tasks such as design test checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment. Applications may involve analog, digital, and/or video type circuits and logic systems. The technician works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks. The role includes performing routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications, diagnosing and isolating malfunctions down to the component level, and conducting defined engineering tests and collecting data as assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform routine technical functions related to support of development engineering activities.
Design test checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
Work on experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment.
Involve in applications of analog, digital, and/or video type circuits and logic systems.
Perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
Utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators, and similar test apparatus.
Essential Skills
Formal electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school.
Experience with electronics, analog circuits, logic analysis, circuitry design, prototyping, and electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
Experience with diagnostic testing and use of equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, and signal generators.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Entry-level position excluding trainees with no academic preparation or experience.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position with a 9/80 A schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
