Job Description:
Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly growing to support the development of Flight Termination Systems and Tactical electronics in support of Space & Defense applications. EBAD seeks a motivated engineer for the position of an Electronics Development Engineer reporting to the Product Development Lead.
This role is responsible for the overall technical performance of internal and external programs. They lead a cross-functional team in all technical aspects of the program from concept through development, qualification, and production. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.
Responsibilities:
· Providing technical expertise to verify and validate requirements
· Assess and analyze technical risks, then create and execute risk mitigation plans
· Own the development maintenance and coordination of technical data packages
· Perform hands-on testing of electronics assemblies in a development lab environment
· Participate in environmental and dynamic testing of development, qualification, and production top-level assemblies
· Managing technical communications with customers
· Lead internal Continuous Improvement efforts to increase organizational effectiveness
· Generate technical reports for complex development tests and analyses
Requirements:
· BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
· 2+ years of experience developing electronics components and systems
· Previous experience leading cross-functional project teams
· Previous experience performing Root Cause Analysis
· Experience with safety critical Aerospace & Defense electronics products desired
