What does this role look like?
Are you willing to join a team to help solve challenges in a team environment using your Electronics Engineering background and experience? We are looking for an experienced, skilled engineer in the areas of Electronics/Avionics design of power subsystems.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Developing the initial Avionics subsystem concepts including concepts for Avionics products (such as Safe Arming and Fuzing Electronics (SAFE).
• Integrated Avionics Package (IAP) SW, Comm network, primary battery) and identifying initial functional architecture for the Avionics subsystem.
• Leverage LE2 R&D accomplishments to date into the LE2 subsystem architecture concepts as appropriate.
• Develop Define the requirements & provide the framework for architecture, requirements, and interface development & maintenance throughout the program lifecycle.
Typical mins for this role:
• 5 - 9 years of professional experience for this role.
• You will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience or coursework in synthesizing requirements into electrical circuit design at different assembly levels.
• Experience or coursework in electronic circuit design, and electronics components/technologies.
• Experience or coursework in electronic systems schematic creation and interpretation, and Electronics Modeling/Simulation Tools such as SPICE.
• Ability and desire to obtain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus
among peers and effective relationships with team members.
• Experience with Missile flight electronic components and/or power distribution subsystems.
• Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines.
• Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Existing Top Secret clearance.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
