What you’ll do: Maintain component data, manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in the component data baseReview and recommend substitute components for new designs for improvements in supply chain, design robustness and maintainabilityCreation of BOM & BOL for NPIsTreatment and implementation of Engineering Chane Notification (ECN)Implement risk management strategies to address obsolescence and proactively identify and address future obsolescenceLead cost reduction projects in design control.Participate to component data analysis and failure identification-on supplier quality topicsIdentify components in production line on requestPart of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the CompanyProvide guidance regarding part selection, design concepts, specification requirements, critical components and alternate sources.Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheetsCreate a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materialsQualifications: Minimum 3 years experience in PCBA manufacturing processesTechnical University Electrotechnics/Electronics EngineeringSkills: Good organization and technical communication skills to effectively monitor and convey component end-of-life (EOL) notifications and part change notifications (PCN’s) to Purchasing and Engineering.Familiar with circuit design principles and board layout guidelines, identifying alternate parts and manufacturers.Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Enovia is a plusKnowledge of industrial regulations like RoHS, REACH etc desirable
