Primary FunctionAshland City is home to A. O. Smith’s largest water heating manufacturing facility in the United States and manufactures over two million residential water heaters every year. An Electronics Technician D Shift will perform preventative, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment with a strong emphasis on, but not limited to electrical controls and systems.
Responsibilities Respond to production work orders regarding troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing & facility equipment which includes fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC and robotic processes. Assist Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians on any electrical control, motion control, Vision Camera, robotic and PLC equipment Primary PM focus on electrical cabinets, PLC/Robot/Drive Backups Become familiar with APCOM’s product specifications and the quality standards, including assisting in the development and upkeep of operating procedures for process and equipment, reviewing each line for quality, and working with the Quality department to train employees to identify quality problems. Complete all work orders related in a timely manner. Qualifications Electrical knowledge: Industrial electrical controls, 4-20ma signals, 0-10 vdc signals, RSLogix 5000, Siemens PLC, RSLogix 500, ControlLogix, Variable Frequency Drives, HMI’s, Ladder Logic, Electrical prints, 480 vac-24vdc, Relays, Light curtains and other safety interlocking systems. Capable of performing all tasks of a Multi-craft Maintenance Tech II Must be in good standing within your current scope of responsibilities; Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance or similar, with a focus on electrical controls, or a combination of education and experience Education High School Diploma or GEDTrade School DegreePhysical Requirements Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
