Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Electronics Technician Maintenance opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Role Responsibilities:
+ Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations.
+ Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments.
+ Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed upon completion; non-routine work may also be reviewed in progress.
+ Performs one or a combination of the following typical duties:
+ Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
+ Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
+ Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data.
+ Points out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observed errors.
+ Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources.
+ Processes data following well-defined methods, including elementary algebra and geometry.
+ Presents data in the prescribed format.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
+ Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
+ High School diploma or GED.
+ Formal electronics training from one of the following:
+ Technical School
+ Class A or B military school in electronics or communications
+ Four (4) year electronics apprentice program
+ Installation Tasks:
+ Soldering
+ Cable Dressing
+ Cable Tray
+ Conduit
+ Making/Repairing Connectors
+ Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ 3-10 years of practical experience in:
+ Electronics repair
+ Electronics maintenance
+ Electronics checkout
+ 2-8 years of practical experience in electronics installation
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
+ In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
Office setting:
+ Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
+ Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
+ May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
